About the Program
One after another, Brad's routines will keep students and teachers fascinated. As always, there is a lot of comedy and a lot of audience participation to help students focus on and remember the objectives and educational content.
Like all of Brad's programs, this is a professionally scripted show, written with proper sequencing for high and low spots to provide children with lots of excitement but prevent them from becoming unruly. Children who are called on to assist are never embarrassed. Teachers and principals always comment on how wonderfully Brad handles children. In addition, Brad adds special humorous touches that just the adults will understand and enjoy.
As always, Brad brings all of his own props and tables and "anywhere" sound system. This is an act that can be performed in almost any location, large rooms or small, stage, auditorium, classroom or cafeteria. It can be adjusted to be suitable for groups of from 10 to 250. Schools with larger enrollments should have two programs. Splitting a full-range school into, say, one K-3 program and another for grades 4-6 allows Brad to customize the language, objectives and vocabulary to the different grade levels. When performing for Primary grades, Brad will make the program lighter, faster and more fun. When presenting the same program to Upper Elementary, Brad will use higher vocabulary, and focus more strongly on the objectives and cause and effect.
No 45-minute assembly program can end bullying in a school.
But this one is a terrific way to define the concepts that need to be examined
and discussed. It provides an excellent introduction and strong motivation to
help teachers, principals and students begin a year-long school-wide program in
their building. The No-Bully Zone has eight routines which teach anti-bullying
concepts to elementary teachers and their students. Students will learn:
* how to identify bullies
* five types of bullying behavior
* how working together lessens bullying
* how bullying makes you feel
* what to do when you are being bullied
* an acronym to keep you S.A.F.E.
* how to open communication
* how bystanders can help
1. This is a sound educational program. Each
assembly is carefully structured according to tested pedagogy to teach as well
as entertain. The show itself was designed by a school teacher that knows how to get a
lesson across.
2. Brad is completely self-contained. You won't need to provide a thing!
Brad brings all of the tables, props and equipment he needs, including a sound
system, and microphone. He sets everything up and cleans up after the program.
3. The students will really pay attention. There are no dry lectures in
Brad's programs. Because Brad presents funny and exciting routines with lots of
audience participation, everybody - teachers and students - wants to listen.
4. Brad has excellent audience control. He has a Bachelor of Science
degree in Boy Scout Administration (Youth Leadership Department), 14 years of magic show
experience with home birthday parties for kids and adults, school assemblies,
table to table restaurant magic, corporate dinners, and kids fairs.
